Baseball Game Preview: Calabasas Coyotes vs. Newbury Park Panthers

For the second straight game, Calabasas will face off against Newbury Park. The Coyotes will be playing at home against the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Calabasas is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Newbury Park on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Coyotes have suffered since March 14, 2024.

For Newbury Park's part, Cole Munyon was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. The Panthers are 2-1 when Munyon posts one or more home runs, but 5-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Vega, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Newbury Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Newbury Park's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-7. As for Calabasas, they dropped their record down to 10-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
