Volleyball Recap: Alexander Central Beats Mcdowell for Their Third Straight Win + How To Watch

Alexander Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the McDowell Titans. The game was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Titans on their court since September 19, 2018.

Alexander Central's got stronger as the match went on, holding McDowell to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-15.

Reagan Pierce paced Alexander Central's offense, picking up 14 kills. Pierce got some help from Makayla Williams and her 20 assists. Hallie Harrington controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Alexander Central's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for McDowell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Alexander Central will square off against Watauga at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McDowell, they will take on Mitchell at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
