Softball Recap: Cross Comes Up Short

Cross and Lee Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cross had to settle for second. They fell 11-6 to the Cavaliers. The Stingrays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sydney Hollings made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Liz Odom, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Cross' loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Lee Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-13.

As of now, neither Cross nor the Cavaliers have any future games scheduled.
