Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whiteoak). They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Fairfield Lions on Thursday. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered an 8-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The win made it two in a row for Whiteoak and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Fairfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whiteoak will take on Fayetteville-Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairfield, they will be playing at home against Western at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
