Basketball Recap: Warren East Comes Up Short

Warren East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 73-67 heartbreaker at the hands of the Monroe County Falcons. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Warren East's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Monroe County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren East will challenge Franklin-Simpson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin-Simpson has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three contests. As for Monroe County, they will face off against Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
