Baseball Recap: Mildred's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mildred). They came out on top against the Chapel Hill Bulldogs by a score of 9-6 on Friday. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2020.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs over those games. As for Chapel Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Mildred will be taking part in a tournament against West Rusk at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Chapel Hill, they will welcome Pine Tree at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Chapel Hill's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
