Volleyball Recap: Bishop McGuinness Villains vs. South Stokes Sauras

Bishop McGuinness lost against South Stokes back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Villains took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sauras.

Bishop McGuinness started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-16.

Gwen Feeney paced Bishop McGuinness' offense, picking up nine kills. Feeney got some help from JoJo Seeber and her 17 assists. Finally, Lyla Passwater kept Bishop McGuinness' defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

South Stokes can attribute much of their success to Hannah Mcgee, who had ten digs and three aces. Avery Carrick was another key player, getting nine digs and one assist.
