Volleyball Game Preview: Montgomery County Indians vs. Lexington Catholic Knights

Montgomery County hasn't had much luck against Lexington Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Indians will head out on the road to take on the Knights at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Montgomery County took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over West Carter.

Meanwhile, Lexington Catholic hadn't done well against Paul Laurence Dunbar recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Knights came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1.

Lexington Catholic's record now sits at 25-3. As for Montgomery County, the victory got them back to even at 14-14.

Montgomery County might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Lexington Catholic when the teams last played back in October of 2021. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
