Basketball Recap: Evangelical Christian Victorious

Evangelical Christian won the last time they faced Ida Baker, and David Morris did his part to make sure it happened again. The Evangelical Christian Sentinels walked away with a 60-52 victory over the Ida Baker Bulldogs on Friday thanks in part to Morris, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Evangelical Christian now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Ida Baker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-18.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Evangelical Christian will challenge Canterbury on Monday. As for Ida Baker, they will square off against East Lee County on Monday. East Lee County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Ida Baker likes a good challenge.
