Basketball Game Preview: Waynesboro Little Giants vs. Riverheads Gladiators

Having just played yesterday, the Waynesboro Little Giants will get right back to it and host the Riverheads Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waynesboro is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, Waynesboro was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-45 to Fluvanna County.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Riverheads' good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They came up short against Fort Defiance, falling 88-62. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Gladiators have suffered since December 2, 2024.

Riverheads' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Waynesboro, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Waynesboro barely slipped by Riverheads in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 53-52. Will Waynesboro repeat their success, or does Riverheads have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
