Basketball Recap: Tri-State Christian Takes a Loss

Tri-State Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Faith Christian Falcons, falling 50-11. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 609th in Iowa, while the Falcons are ranked 218th in Illinois).

When it comes to explaining why Tri-State Christian lost, don't look at Catherine Benedict. Despite the final result, she posted four points and eight rebounds. Benedict is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

It was another big night for Gwen Hodson, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 12 points along with five boards and five steals for Faith Christian. Another player making a difference was Emma Royer, who had four points and five steals.

Tri-State Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Faith Christian, the win (which was their 23rd in a row) raised their record to 28-2.

As of now, neither Tri-State Christian nor Faith Christian have any future games scheduled.
