Softball Game Preview: Springdale Dynamos vs. Northgate Flames

The Springdale Dynamos will square off against the Northgate Flames at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Springdale is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Springdale came up short against South Allegheny on Wednesday, falling 21-1.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Northgate's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 14-1 to Apollo Ridge. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Flames couldn't push the score so high this time.

Northgate saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Auth, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Northgate's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Springdale, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything went Springdale's way against Northgate when the teams last played back in May of 2022, as Springdale made off with a 14-0 win. Will the Dynamos repeat their success, or do the Flames have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
