Volleyball Recap: Estrella Foothills' Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Estrella Foothills had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Fairfax Stampede by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Lawson Hardman paced Estrella Foothills' offense, picking up nine kills. Hardman got some help from Ruben Matos and his 24 assists. Matos was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Estrella Foothills' win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Fairfax, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coming up, Estrella Foothills and Goldwater will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fairfax, they will face off against McClintock at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
