Baseball Recap: Belmont Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Belmont never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against North Delta on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Green Wave. That looming 12-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cardinals yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Peyton Pharr, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Parker Stanley was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Belmont always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

With the victory, Belmont broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8. As for North Delta, they moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
