Football Recap: Colonie Central Starts off Right with Win over Penfield

Colonie Central took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They strolled past the Penfield Patriots with points to spare, taking the game 19-0.

Steven Thomas went supernova, throwing for 188 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 147 yards while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.

Colonie Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cameron Fruscio.

Colonie Central has already played their next matchup, a 27-17 win against Queensbury on the 12th. As for Penfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-7 defeat against Spencerport on the 12th.
