Football Recap: Santaluces Comes Up Short

Santaluces lost against Suncoast back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Santaluces Chiefs took a 20-6 bruising from the Suncoast Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Chargers are ranked 53rd).

Santaluces' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Suncoast, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Santaluces will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Palm Beach Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for Suncoast, they will square off against Park Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Park Vista 10.7, Suncoast 4.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
