Baseball Game Preview: Disney II Titans vs. Northside Mustangs

The Disney II Titans will head out on the road to challenge the Northside Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Disney II has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Disney II is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Farragut just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 20-5 to the Admirals. The match marked the Titans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Disney II saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marcus Grier, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Grier has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Meanwhile, Northside fell victim to Von Steuben and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Disney II, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Disney II suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Northside in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
