Basketball Recap: South Umpqua Takes a Loss

South Umpqua was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 44-28 fall against the Douglas Trojans. The match marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

South Umpqua now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Douglas, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season.

South Umpqua wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-41 victory against Coquille on the 4th. Douglas has also already played their next contest, a 59-45 loss against Siuslaw on the 4th.
