Lutheran and Severance squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Lutheran had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Silver Knights by a score of 8-7. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Anthony Misch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Jack Wesolowski, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.

Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Severance, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-6.

Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Severance, they will square off against Holy Family at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Silver Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
