They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Park Crossing Thunderbirds. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 16 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Kennedy Thompson and Ava Milton did most of the damage at the plate: Thompson went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Milton went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Thompson has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasyn Wilson, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs.
Pike Road always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .833. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
