Basketball Game Preview: Desert View Jaguars vs. Pueblo Warriors

Desert View is 0-8 against Pueblo since December of 2014 but things could change on Tuesday. The Desert View Jaguars will challenge the Pueblo Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Desert View is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against Nogales, falling 66-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Jaguars have suffered since December 13, 2024.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 66 points the game before, Pueblo was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a blow against Buena, falling 71-30. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Colts are ranked 60th).

Pueblo's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Desert View, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Desert View came up short against Pueblo in their previous meeting last Thursday, falling 66-58. Can Desert View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
