Basketball Recap: Urban Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Urban won the last time they faced Lowell and things went their way on Thursday too. The Urban Blues came out on top against the Lowell Cardinals by a score of 41-31. Given the Blues' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Cardinals are ranked 910th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Urban has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Lowell, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Urban will venture away from home to square off against Archie Williams at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Archie Williams has won three straight at home, while Urban won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Lowell, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against San Rafael at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. San Rafael knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully Lowell likes a good challenge.
