Volleyball Recap: Perryville Pirates vs. Leopold Wildcats
Perryville suffered their biggest loss since October 17, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Leopold Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-12, 25-15.
Lydia Schlimpert paced Perryville's offense, picking up six kills. Schlimpert got some help from Kaeli Klaus and her eight assists. Finally, Schlimpert was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.
Leopold can attribute much of their success to Malia VanderMierden, who had ten digs and two assists.
