Baseball Game Preview: Phillips Academy Big Blue vs. Cushing Academy Penguins

Phillips Academy is 9-1 against Cushing Academy since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Big Blue will take on the Penguins at 3:30 p.m. Cushing Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Phillips Academy, who comes in off a win.

Phillips Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let Varsity Opponent get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory.

Jun An was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Miles O'Neil also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Cushing Academy's offense. They came up short against Deerfield Academy on Monday, falling 12-0. The Penguins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cushing Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Phillips Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
