Softball Recap: North Royalton Beats Hudson for Their Fourth Straight Victory

North Royalton extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping their season record up to 12-2 in the process. Everything went their way against the Hudson Explorers as they made off with a 17-2 win. Considering the Bears have won nine contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Hudson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. They have struggled against North Royalton recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

For Hudson's part, Bailey Deutsch was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Deutsch's first of the season. Shawna Baylor was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Looking ahead, North Royalton will host Twinsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hudson, they will head out on the road to challenge Cuyahoga Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Black Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.93 runs per game on average), something the Explorers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
