Football Recap: Ball Comes Up Short at Home Against Manvel + How To Watch

Ball unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Manvel Mavericks on Friday, falling 52-21. The Tornadoes were down 45-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Cam Renfro had a dynamite game For Manvel., rushing for 148 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 174 yards and two touchdowns. Renfro was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards. Eric Mosley III was another key player, rushing for 85 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Coming up, Ball will take on Texas City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Manvel, they will square off against Barbers Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
