Baseball Game Preview: Harriman Blue Devils vs. Roane County Yellowjackets

Harriman hasn't had much luck against Roane County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Blue Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m.

Harriman lost 10-1 to Greenback on Tuesday.

Harriman saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Hawn, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Roane County had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 11-1 victory. Considering the Yellowjackets have won 12 games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Harriman's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Roane County, their win bumped their record up to 20-4.

Harriman might still be hurting after the 13-1 loss they got from Roane County when the teams last played back in March. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
