Football Game Preview: Florida Christian Patriots vs. ABF Academy Cowboys + Official Tickets

The Florida Christian Patriots will take on the ABF Academy Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Florida Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully ABF Academy likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Florida Christian strolled past Aubrey Rogers with points to spare, taking the game 31-14. The win continues a trend for Florida Christian in their matchups with Aubrey Rogers: they've now won three in a row.

Florida Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cordell Gibson led the charge by rushing for 104 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries. Gibson didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made five total tackles.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Florida Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 307 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Florida Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Noah Cruz and Tavarus Greene. Nathaniel Escoto was another major factor on D, making 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, ABF Academy came up short against Inlet Grove on Thursday and fell 14-2. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

ABF Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Florida Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1-1.
