Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy never got on the board in their matchup last Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against John Ehret on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp  14-4 victory. Considering the Tigers have won 12 contests by more than eight  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Hayden Chastant made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed six innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   three  hits. Chastant was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy: the team is 6-1 when he posts  at  least  two  stolen bases, but 9-11 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jeremy Gibson, who  went 3-for-5 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Ethan Christ, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
