Football Recap: Chopticon Comes Up Short

Chopticon's last matchup with St. Charles could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Braves were outmatched by St. Charles and fell 42-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with St. Charles: they've now lost five in a row.

Jayden Wills was nothing short of spectacular for St. Charles: he threw for 228 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. St. Charles also got help from Rashad Adams, who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.

Chopticon's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Charles, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Chopticon will head out on the road to square off against Thomas Stone at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Charles, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Patuxent at 6:00 p.m.
