Softball Recap: Point Pleasant Boro Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Point Pleasant Boro suffered their closest loss since May 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Toms River East Raiders by a score of 8-6. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Point Pleasant Boro's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3. As for Toms River East, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Coming up, Point Pleasant Boro will venture away from home to square off against Central Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Toms River East, they will head out to face off against Jackson Memorial at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
