Cambridge blew Union Local out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Union Local got their revenge. The Bobcats fell just short of the Jets by a score of 7-5. The Bobcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Laney Harper put in work no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Miranda Cole was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season.
