Baseball Recap: Apex Friendship Has No Trouble Against Pinecrest

Apex Friendship made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pinecrest, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Apex Friendship blew past Pinecrest 18-4 on Friday. This was payback for Apex Friendship, who suffered an 11-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Tyler Komorner looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Braden Bloom was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Tino Ramirez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

The victory got Apex Friendship back to even at 1-1-1. As for Pinecrest, their record is now 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apex Friendship will take on Holly Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pinecrest, they will challenge Millbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
