Football Recap: Hansley Duroi and Davonte Brown Lead the Defense for Ramapo Win

Ossining came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Ramapo, but Nahum Pierre wouldn't allow it. The Gryphons claimed a resounding 41-0 victory over the Pride with plenty of help from Pierre, who rushed for 201 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 91 yards.

Ramapo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hansley Duroi and Davonte Brown. Duroi is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last four games he's played.

The win made it two in a row for Ramapo and bumps their season record up to 2-4. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 14 points in those games. As for Ossining, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Ramapo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-7 win against Port Chester on the 23rd. As for Ossining, they have also already played their next game, a 38-13 defeat against White Plains on the 24th.
