Baseball Game Preview: Shiprock Chieftains vs. Miyamura Patriots

Shiprock hasn't had much luck against Miyamura recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chieftains will take on the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Shiprock has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Shiprock is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Gallup, falling 18-3.

Shiprock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyson Clark, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Miyamura lost 10-1 to Bloomfield on Saturday. The Patriots have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Shiprock's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Miyamura, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Shiprock might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Miyamura in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Chieftains avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
