St. Laurence extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 18-5 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Marian Catholic Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Marian Catholic, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by just one run.

For Marian Catholic's part, Jackie Pollock spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Gracie Jensen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Looking ahead, St. Laurence will challenge Oak Forest at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Marian Catholic, they will face off against Tinley Park at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
