Preview: Loch Raven Raiders vs. Rosedale Christian Academy Rosedale Panthers
The Loch Raven Raiders will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Rosedale Christian Academy Rosedale Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. Loch Raven has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 187 points over their last three games.
Loch Raven stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They breezed by Owings Mills on the road to the tune of 58-10. Given Loch Raven's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while Owings Mills is ranked 253rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Loch Raven got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Destaney Harris out in front who scored 14 points along with four steals. Harris hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Jones, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Rosedale Christian Academy pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The game between Rosedale Christian Academy and Riverdale Baptist wasn't particularly close, with Rosedale Christian Academy falling 77-61. Rosedale Christian Academy has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Loch Raven has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Rosedale Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6.
Everything went Loch Raven's way against Rosedale Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as Loch Raven made off with a 52-26 victory.
