Volleyball Recap: Rootstown Takes a Loss

Rootstown lost against LaBrae back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rovers fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1.

Colbie Curall paced Rootstown's offense, picking up 12 kills. Curall got some help from Kylie Shelly and her 13 assists. Finally, Curall was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Rootstown's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for LaBrae, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

Coming up, Rootstown will head out on the road to challenge Chagrin Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for LaBrae, they will be playing at home against Garfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
