After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Roseburg, South Medford was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Sheldon Irish as they made off with a 13-1 win. Considering the Panthers have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Jordan Knutson spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 17 Ks.

At the plate, Aubree Joe was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Luna Burns also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

South Medford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sheldon only posted an OBP of .280.

South Medford's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-7. As for Sheldon, their record is now 11-7.

South Medford will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Irish: the pair will be back at it again later today.
