It was a Battle of the Birds when Skyline faced off against Liberty on Tuesday. The Hawks came up short against the Eagles, falling 5-0. The defeat leaves Skyline still looking for their first win of the season.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 0-10-1. As for Liberty, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Skyline and Liberty could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Hawks will face off against Fauquier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (272 vs. 97). Meanwhile, Liberty (ranked 269th) will meet James Wood (ranked 103rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
