Baseball Recap: Middletown North Comes Up Short

Middletown North lost against Ranney on April 8th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lions fell 5-2 to Ranney.

Middletown North has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Ranney, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Middletown North will take on Red Bank Catholic at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Caseys' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ranney, they will be playing at home against Manalapan at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
