The Madison Patriots will square off against the West Davidson Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Two weeks ago, Madison lost to Mitchell on the road by a 47-31 margin. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Dallas Bartlett, who rushed for 46 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 150 yards and one TD. Ivan Blankenship helped out on the ground, rushing for 105 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Meanwhile, West Davidson came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 49-10 victory over the Golden Eagles. Considering the Dragons have won five matchups by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Madison better keep an eye on Carson Correll. He was instrumental in West Davidson's win, rushing for 157 yards and three scores on only ten carries, while also throwing for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Correll has become a key player for the Dragons: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise. Ethan McClosky was Correll's top target, picking up 45 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 89 yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: West Davidson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 303 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.
West Davidson's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Madison has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 225.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like West Davidson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 216.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
