Basketball Recap: Solon Comes Up Short

Solon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 59-36 to the Centerville Elks. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while the Elks are ranked 102nd).

Solon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Centerville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Solon will welcome Marysville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Centerville, they will challenge Big Walnut at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
