Softball Recap: American Canyon Takes a Loss

After flying high against Justin-Siena last Friday, American Canyon came back down to earth. The Wolves took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vintage Crushers on Wednesday. The Wolves have struggled against the Crushers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Jayden De Los Santos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in both of her plate appearances with three stolen bases.

American Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 11-10-1. As for Vintage, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Canyon will welcome Redwood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Giants' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Vintage, they will be playing at home against Petaluma at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Crushers 2, the Trojans 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
