 Piqua lost a heartbreaker to Butler when they met  back in May of 2022, and they left with a heavy heart again  on Monday. The Piqua Indians lost  7-1 to the Butler Aviators. The  loss   continues a  trend for Piqua in their matchups with Butler: they've now lost three in a row.
 Piqua saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mickey Anderson, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
 Piqua's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Butler, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piqua will take on Troy at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Butler, they will play host again  on Wednesday to welcome Tippecanoe, where first pitch is scheduled  at 5:00  p.m.
