Chillicothe is a perfect 3-0 against Groveport-Madison since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cavaliers will head out to challenge the Cruisers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Chillicothe and three for Groveport-Madison.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Chillicothe's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jackson on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Chillicothe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 479th, while Jackson are ranked 128th).

Meanwhile, Groveport-Madison came up short against Canal Winchester on Tuesday, falling 4-1.

Chillicothe's loss dropped their record down to 2-12-1. As for Groveport-Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Chillicothe took their win against Groveport-Madison in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
