Basketball Recap: South Cobb Takes a Loss

South Cobb lost against Pebblebrook back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The South Cobb Eagles took a 66-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pebblebrook Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Falcons are ranked 17th).

Despite the loss, South Cobb still got an impressive performance from Tabari Moulder, who went 6 of 10 en route to 15 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Moulder a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Donald McMillan, who went 6 for 15 to rack up 15 points and seven boards.

Even though they lost, South Cobb smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive contests.

South Cobb's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Pebblebrook, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8.

As of now, neither South Cobb nor Pebblebrook have any future games scheduled.
