Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for North Dorchester

North Dorchester hadn't done well against Colonel Richardson recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Colonels with a sharp 10-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Colonels back in March, they had to take a 16-4 loss.

TJ Leonard made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because North Dorchester is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 7-9 otherwise. Leonard was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, North Dorchester got a massive performance out of Blake Bramble, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most hits Bramble has posted since back in April. Sutton Dukes was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

North Dorchester always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Colonel Richardson only posted an OBP of .300.

The victory (which was North Dorchester's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-10. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.2 runs. As for Colonel Richardson, they moved to 12-6 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

As of now, neither North Dorchester nor the Colonels have any future games scheduled.
