Staunton River put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the Northside Vikings to the tune of 53-21. While the Golden Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Staunton River's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Northside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Staunton River will head out to challenge William Byrd at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Staunton River's defense has only allowed 27 points per game this season, so William Byrd's offense will have their work cut out for them. Northside has already played their next game, a 73-24 loss against Salem on the 15th.
