Softball Game Preview: Espanola Valley Sundevils vs. Thoreau Hawks

The Espanola Valley Sundevils will venture away from home to challenge the Thoreau Hawks at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Espanola Valley has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 21.

Espanola Valley lost 11-5 to Los Alamos on Wednesday.

Espanola Valley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aliah Villalobos, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Aliya Rael-Lopez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Thoreau came up short against Tohatchi on Tuesday, falling 15-5. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Espanola Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Thoreau, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
